Who We Are
Poetry is also an essential part of this journey. As a creative means of self-expression and well-being, poetry allows for deep reflection, healing, and connection. At Bodhi Yoga & Wellness, we embrace the arts as a path to mindfulness, encouraging creativity as a way to cultivate presence and emotional resilience.
Marnie is joined on this journey by her partner, Sean Hogan, an English Language Arts educator and spoken word poet (sean_poets). Sean’s passion for language and storytelling brings an added dimension to the center’s mission, fostering a space where movement, mindfulness, and artistic expression come together to support personal and collective transformation.
Bodhi Yoga & Wellness was created in Middletown, PA, to make mindfulness, movement, and creativity accessible to all. At the heart of our mission is the belief that well-being is a human right and that healing happens in community.
Bodhi Yoga & Wellness is a welcoming and inclusive space dedicated to fostering healing, mindfulness, and community well-being.
Founded by Dr. Marnie Aylesworth, an experienced educator, yoga teacher, and certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) instructor, our center integrates movement, meditation, and breathwork to support holistic health.
With a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, Marnie has spent years researching mindfulness and its profound impact on well-being, education, and leadership. Her journey into mindfulness, yoga, and breathwork was deeply personal—transforming her own life and shaping her passion for sharing these practices with others. After decades in the early childhood education profession, she recognized the urgent need for accessible spaces where individuals can find balance, resilience, and healing.
