Sound Healing/Meditation
Malia is a Therapeutic Sound Practitioner practicing expressive arts therapy. Having completed a six-month intensive program at Soundwise School of Harmonic Therapy (108 training hours), she uses sound healing and expressive arts to support emotional well-being and personal growth.
Malia infuses her work with the spirit and warmth of her Hawaiian heritage, creating nurturing spaces where others can find balance, resilience, and a deeper connection to themselves.
Sound Meditation is a deeply immersive experience that uses soothing sounds and vibrations to promote relaxation, balance, and inner awareness. Through instruments like singing bowls, chimes, drums, and the human voice, participants are guided into a meditative state where they can release tension, quiet the mind, and connect with the present moment. This practice encourages deep rest and renewal, making it an excellent compliment to yoga, mindfulness and overall well-being
Ayruveda Counseling
We believe that caring for the entire self is important to well-being and in keeping with this, we partner with Sophie Malahieude, a Holistic Wellness Consultant. Learn more about ayruveda, Sophie, her story and the services she offers below.
Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old practice from India. It is translated from Sanskrit as "the science of life and longevity."
This nature-based system helps us understand:
Who we are physically, emotionally, and mentally.
How factors like the seasons, our environment, or our diet influence our unique constitution or dosha.
Ayurveda is considered the sister science of Yoga as they share philosophical principles. According to Ayurveda, the universe is composed of the 5 elements (space, air, fire, water, earth)… so is the body. Thus, the human being is the embodied universe.
These 5 elements, in their biological forms, combine to create the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), which you can think of as energy forces. Every individual’s dosha combination is unique, therefore each one of us has a unique way toward well-being. For this reason, Ayurveda offers a personalized approach to wellness.
Ayurveda takes a holistic view of health by addressing imbalances in the entire person rather than focusing solely on symptoms. Factors, such as stress, diet, lifestyle, exercise, climate, and seasonal changes can disrupt this balance, leading to toxicity in the body and compromised well-being. Understanding your constitution will guide you toward maintaining harmony and achieving long-term wellness.

Sophie Malahieude, Holistic Wellness Consultant, is deeply interested in the ability of each person to heal themself.
She believes that a holistic approach to life, which considers diet, exercise, emotional well-being, and mindfulness, supports us in unlocking our potential.
Originally from France, Sophie is a multicultural woman who has lived in Germany and the United States. Her life philosophy is deeply influenced by Vedic disciplines, Yoga, and Ayurveda, which she encountered in 1997 during her time in Germany. To Sophie, Yoga is the path to developing our consciousness, while Ayurveda allows us to understand our connection with nature.
In 2004, after relocating to the United States, Sophie decided to become a Yoga teacher and Ayurveda practitioner. This path was pursued while caring for her two young sons.
As a Holistic Wellness Consultant, Sophie teaches how to easily and naturally incorporate these age-old principles into modern life. She believes that when we achieve physical, mental, and emotional balance, it benefits not only ourselves but also the wider community.
